Welcome to North Dorset Turbos Swimming Club

The club was established in 2003 to provide opportunities for competitive swimmers in the Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Sturminster Newton and Mere areas to meet and train. Most of our members are aged between 9 and 18 years old and have completed the ASA's National Scheme for swimming. North Dorset Turbos is a "Swim 21 Club".

Latest News

  • Turbos are holding 'Pre Club' Sessions from 1800 to 1900 on Wednesday evenings at Shaftesbury Community Pool, to continue for as long as Shaftesbury pool is open.
  • Turbos took the wooden spoon in the League for the first time. However we take some satisfaction that despite being the smallest club in the league, Turbos scored more gala points thanmany other clubs above them.
  • We are all pleased to see that the building of the new leisure centre in Harding’s Lane, Gillingham is proceeding well. The dry side is due to open in May and the pool in July.
